John has worked regularly at the finer restaurants, jazz festivals and many corporate events in Des Moines since 2006. He generally works as a duo with a bassist, but can provide solo, duo, trio, quartet or quintet groups for your next event.

​Abe is a respected speaker on all things related to jazz. His subjects range from the history of jazz in Des Moines to women in jazz, ethnicities in jazz to jazz and management. He has lectured about jazz history and appreciation at local universities, colleges and to groups of various age and sizes.
